The Villa, constructed at the end of the 18th century, offers a relaxing and comfortable stay to whoever wishes to spend their holidays in Tuscany. The Villa has been furnished in a very comfortable way with quality furniture, in part antique and in part in stile, created by the able Tuscan craftsmen. In the romantic garden, with palms and kaki plants, there is a gazebo with table and chairs, and other garden furniture, barbecue, to stay and eat outside. From the garden, downstairs, there is a large sitting room/dining room with a very wide, functioning fireplace and a spacious and well equipped kitchen with wiew on the garden. Traumvilla im Casentino
Giorgio, Tania und Leone (der Cocker Spaniel) sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Die Villa ist traumhaft, mit parkartigem Garten und tollen Pool. Die Villa ist eine architektonische Antiquität, deren dicke Wände auch an heißesten Tagen für ein angenehmes Klima im Haus sorgen. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet und verfügt über absolut ausreichend Besteck und Geschirr. Im Haus lebt man mit Antiquitäten - das muss man mögen, wir genossen es sehr. Das Anwesen bietet viel Platz, um sich aus dem Wege zu gehen oder auch zusammen zu sein. Man hat immer die Wahl zwischen Sonne und Schatten. Wir würden die Villa unseren Freunden jederzeit empfehlen und bei einem nächsten Urlaub im Casentino sofort wieder anfragen. Grazie mille a Giorgio, Tania e Leone

Hello Marcus,
thanks very much for your review. We hope see you again at the Villa, when you'll decide to come back in Casentino to visit our Valley and other places in Tuscany! We are now improving something at the Villa. More roses in the garden and around; a better wifi for internet ( now it could be have the signal in the garden and near the pool), and some other things we hope to do for next Spring and Summer 2021.

Magnificent Villa in Bibbiena
This villa exceeded all our expectations. It has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Our host was friendly and helpful. Every time we needed help, he was reachable.

Welcoming authentic rustic villa with great swimming pool and wonderful host
Our family group of 15 (10 adults, 5 children) had an amazing, relaxing holiday in this beautiful villa. The welcome followed by careful attention throughout our stay by our hosts, Giorgio and Tanya Montini, was exceptional. There was fruit, honey, olive oil and a rice salad waiting for us, and during our stay we had a memorable pizza-making evening using the outdoor pizza oven when we all made our own pizzas, helped by Giorgio. The large pool was maintained to a high standard, and as there was a heatwave during our stay, we all spent many happy hours in it. The villa was clean and the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms were comfortable. We appreciated having a good wifi connection, and plenty of shaded outdoor areas. By the time we left we all felt we had made new Italian friends in this beautiful part of Italy. Thank you Giorgio and Tanya for your kindness and generosity.

“Rustic Country House - Serene and comfy for a large group”
We had an 8 day stay at the Catarsena house an thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Magnificent location, scenic and quiet.
Owner Giorgio was a great host and arranged chefs, cooking lessons, wine, tours and transportation. Nothing was too much trouble.
The pool was great - not too hot and warm enough for my Aussie family. Everything worked and we were not annoyed by any neighbours. The house was clean and in good condition.
Just 6 k from Bibbiena and all you need there for shopping with large supermarkets and other stores as well as some good restaurants.Also close to many other sights in this most lovely part of Tuscany.
Marvellous food and wine. Very happy to stay here again.
If you are going there use Google maps and follow to Agriturismo Catarsena ( the sign on the drive coming off road says Catarsini)

Villa stupenda , ottima per passare qualche giorno di relax , ci sono stato con tutta la famiglia occupando l'intera casa . Villa immersa nel verde , con i cervi che alla mattina scendevano a mangiare fronte casa . Piscina privata dotata di tutti i confort, cucina super attrezzata per ogni necessità . Ci tornerò ....

Villa stupenda in un posto fantastico!
Abbiamo soggiornato presso la struttura nel periodo di Capodanno. La villa è enorme, accogliente, arredata a meraviglia e con cucina completamente attrezzata. Eravamo un gruppo di 14 ragazzi, ma si riusciva tranquillamente a mangiare tutti assieme allo stesso tavolone nella sala all'ingresso con camino utilizzabile e grandissimo!
Un grazie anche al signor. Giorgio disponibilissimo (fin troppo :-)) ad ogni nostra richiesta.

Perfect Family house
We stayed at Catarsena for a week with 4 families with children and the location/house and facilities are perfect for everybody. Lot's of space/privacy and beautifull surroundings. Pizza oven is a real asset! Free WiFi and a perfect host! The location has a amazing view on the old village Bibbiena.

Fantastische villa met veel privacy voor iedereem
We hebben een een week lang met 11 volwassenen en 4 kleine kinderen in de villa verbleven. De kamers zij zeer ruim en doordat bijna elke kamer een badkamer met toilet heeft, heeft iedereen ook genoeg privacy.
Het huis en de keuken zijn volledig ingericht.
Het is echt enorm genieten vn het huis, de tuin en uiteraard het zwembad.

Totally Amazing Location, Ideal Venue for Celebration or family event.
The Villa di Catarsena was the venue for my wife's fiftieth birthday celebration, it turned out to be everything we expected and more. From the moment we arrived to Giorgio's welcome and tour of the premises with thoughtful touch of homemade lasagne, bread and wine, to our departure we knew we had made a good choice. The Villa is spacious with a great balance of public rooms allowing even large groups moments of solitude if required. The area itself offers a great base to strike out to the rest of Tuscany with Florence (two hours north) and Sienna (two hours south) it is right in the heart of things. Bibbiena offers a good selection of shops and restaurants (although we loved the Villa so much we ate "in" every night) and the local people all proved warm and friendly. The real measure of any holiday location is asking the question would I go again? In this case it is a resounding "yes"!

Erstklassige Unterkunft in der Toscana
Wir haben eine Woche mit fünf Paaren in der Villa verlebt. Die Ausstattung der Räume, die Umgebung und der Garten mit dem Pool sind eine erstklassige Umgebung, um zu entspannen und den Blick auf das Land zu geniessen.
Die Räume sind alle großzügig ausgestattet und mit eigenem mit Bad.
Die Küche ist vollständig bestückt und auch wenn man selber kocht (was wir natürlich gerne getan haben) muß man auf nichts verzichten. Ein Aussengrill mit grosser Grillfläche ermöglicht auch ausgefallene Grillfeste mit ganzen Fischen o. Ä..
Sowohl am Pool, als auch auf der Terasse, im Esszimmer und am Aussenessplatz sind immer genügend Sitzmöglichkeiten und Sonnenschirme vorhanden.
Der Garten bietet schöne Schattenplätze, um bei einem Roman und einem Glas Wein den Tag zu verbringen.
Selbst ein Brot/Pizzaofen ist auf dem Hof vorhanden, den wir aber nicht benutzt haben.
Das Haus liegt abseits an einem Seitenweg (mit der Beschreibung des Vermieters ist die Navigation aber sehr einfach), am Ende des Weges liegt noch ein weiteres etwas kleineres Haus des Vermieters, dass aber sonst keine Verbindung zur Villa hat und auch nicht einmal zu sehen ist. Am Haus sind somit nur der Vermieter (der aber nur zur Ankunft und Abfahrt dort war) und die Gästegruppe.
Für die Reinigung des Pools sorgt der Hausmeister, der auch ab und an den Garten versorgt. Man verbringt die Zeit also völlig ungestört.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bieten die vielen kleinen Geschäfte in und um Bibbiena, so wie in grosser und gutsortierter Coop in Bibbiena.
Auf jeden Fall eine erstklassige Adresse um mit Freuneden oder der Familie einige Tage richtig ausspannen zu können.
Für Familienfeste kann man auch beide Häuse zusammen mieten. Ich bin sicher dass der Vermieter jegliche Unterstützung bereitstellt.
