We booked on spec, wanting to spend a week in the Luberon. From the warm welcome from Richard to our departure, the week was a delight. The house is perfectly equipped, including a very practical cook's kitchen in which we cooked up a storm. The three bedrooms were ideal for we two and three of our adult children. The crowning glory is the pool - big, cool and ideally located, with a great outside space between pool and house for al fresco meals. The house is in a large, secluded property, providing a wonderfully peaceful environment. Down the road are two caves from which local wine can be bought. It's four kms from the local store and village in one direction, with a larger town about eight kms away. The Luberon, Avignon, Arles etc. are all within easy reach. You need a car! Jack (the owner) is attentive and prompt and very helpful, too. I cannot recommend this rental highly enough.

We were looking for a secluded French stay with a pool and this house in the eastern Luberon was just perfect. Set far enough back from the road and on enough land we felt we had the whole of the countryside to ourselves. The pool and views were fantastic and the house charming and tastefully decorated. A perfect French experience.

This property is a jewel in the south Luberon. It is discreetly tucked away far from the road - which is quiet anyway - on a hill overlooking vineyards and farmland.The grounds are extensive, planted with olive trees, orchards and gardens.The real star of this property is the swimming pool. Utterly private and sheltered it is the perfect way to spend an afternoon in the glorious southern French sunshine.Cocktails on the terrace as the sun goes down is a delicious way to end the day before dinner under the stars. It doesn't get better than this. That is why I have returned every year for 15 years.
