There are several options, depending on the composition of the group or family. Our rooms can accommodate from two to five people. In an area with rich Greek folklore tradition, we created a tavern with traditional local dishes. Lamb from our herd cooked with lemon or thieves, potherb pie, Tyropitara, Kourkoubines with touloumotyri, salads from our garden & wine from our vineyards are only a few of products that you can taste in our tavern. When all these are combined with the traditional way of preparation and cooking based on the secret recipes of our grandmother, then we have delicious homemade food.400 meters away from our guest house, there is a small family farm where sheep are kept. Vineyards and olive trees are cultivated in our farm as well as cereals, also used as food for our flock. Some of our products such as eggs, fresh milk, homemade jam and cheese are served in our breakfast. You can also taste lamb or goat meat for lunch or dinner, accompanying them with our local wine, made from two varieties Cabernet and Savvatiano. Guests who want to come closer to nature and animalscan participate in various agricultural activities of the farm such as animal feeding, milking, watching goats lambing, grape and olive harvesting and vegetable planting. Sightseeing From most points of Karystos, the visitor, can see a beautiful castle that crowns the city, the famous Red Castle (Castelo - Rosso). The castle was built in 1205 by the Latins, after the conquest of Evia. It was built where there was the ancient acropolis of Karystos. In one of the central parts of the coastal road in the city of Karystos by the sea, rises the imposing two-storey Mpourtzi fort, built by the Venetians about the 13th century and preserved in excellent condition. During the summer months there are photo exhibitions, art exhibitions and poetry evenings. Opposite Mpourtzi in a beautiful square, houses the 'Giokaleio Cultural Foundation' which except the great library (11,000 volumes), it houses an archaeological collection of finds from the drakospita. 'Karystian House' is the Folklore Collection CH.V. Deligiorgi, that shows us a home from the past. 'Marmari House”: Women's Association of Marmari at Marmari’s beach. 'The drakospito of Oxi' is built at an altitude of 1440 meters, the building materials, as a great way of construction, especially in the time when constructed leaves no room for other explanations to our virtuous ancestors, other than being supernatural creatures. Such are the Drakospita of Karystia manufacturers of which were 'dragons' probably not in physical strength but in the power of the mind and the power to invent ways that even today architects and engineers are left speechless. 'Cave of Ag. Triada' is a giant marble slab of rocky hill 50 meters from Agia Triada. It is one of the most interesting caves in Europe with many speleological treasures. From its bowels flows a river and directed to Rouklia. In the process, forming small lakes and waterfalls, one of which is the largest underground waterfall in Greek cave. 'Kolones': It was an ancient quarry of South Karystia, there was manufactured columns (from the famous Karystian marble) that after, travelled by sea in the most glorious cities of the ancient world. A few words about Karystos 'The lady of the southern Evoia' has sealed in the presence of the Evian south long before, from the historical period. Since the father of the gods Zeus closed his first erotic rendezvous with the following divine wife Hera at the peaks of Mountain Oxi. Somewhere that today is located the “Dracospito”. From these 'hot' divine appointments, says the tradition, Mountain Ochi got its name. The verb ' oxevo ' and the noun 'oxeia ' means intercourse . Modern Karystos is a beautiful coastal city with modern layout and several tourist facilities, ready to welcome and satisfy their guests. A few words about Marmari The beautiful Marmari, considered one of the jewels of coastal southern Evia, named from its excellent quality and coloring marble quarried nearby . Beaches The whole bay facing the southern Evia is filled with lacy beaches with crystal waters. Some of them areMore
