Our guide, Karítas, was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable, engaging, and positive that it made this tour the highlight of our trip to Reykjavik. The entire process went off exactly as advertised, everything from the meeting place and time, to the delicious food and super fun walking tour. I’d highly recommend this tour and that you ask for Karítas if possible.

Our food tour/walk thru Reykjavik on Sunday afternoon May 19 with Wake Up Reykjavik was excellent. “David” (the English translation of his name) was easy to understand, answered all our questions, and kept our group together during the whole walk. We were not expecting much (anticipating that fermented shark thing everyone mentions….) but we were pleasantly surprised by the variety and high quality of the selected food stops. We highly recommend this tour as it is a great introduction to Iceland and Reykjavik in particular.
