- My wife and I stayed here recently on a trip to Canada and we enjoyed everything about it. It oozes old world charm and is an oasis of calm in the middle of the bustling city. Centrally located, meaning pretty much anywhere in downtown Vancouver is within walking distance. Our room was generously sized for a city hotel, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were helpful and very friendly. But best of all is the hotel's outstanding bar/lounge - possibly the best of any hotel we have stayed in. It is cosy without being cramped and was always busy without being overcrowded. We were treated to breakfast next to the fire, enjoyed evening drinks and had a very good dinner on our last night. Just wonderful. And it is good value - we then moved on to Seattle where everything was twice the price.

The room had that old world luxurious charm, and was very comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, the room quiet, consequently, we slept like babies. It's not often hotels today offer special services without the extra fees, such as turn down service that includes spring water and cookies, and a knock on the door to see if we needed ice or anything else. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

Golzer greeted us with a big warm smile and got our luggage and parked our truck. When we walk through the door David made us feel at home by Welcoming us "home". David was warm, kind helpful and had a great sense of humour. He made sure we were well looked after and if we had any questions to be sure to ask. We loved the hotel/room/customer service soo much we decided to extend our stay another night and David was quick to accommodate us so that we didn't have to change rooms. Throughout the entire stay the staff was very friendly and helpful..always a smile and hello when we walked by the front desk. I would highly recommend Wedgewood Spa and Hotel for a stay in Vancouver.
