- My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Las Terrazas. Our place on the ground floor was roomy with a very comfortable bed. The room stayed cool but had gas heaters to heat the room before your shower. Excellent choices for breakfast that is provided in you room so you can wake up and enjoy on your schedule. The location was ideal for exploring the city with great views from the roof top vista. Rocky and Gwen were great hosts and were helpful with suggestions. Would stay again.
@Travel815256Reviewed January 2025 - Las Terrazas was the perfect place to stay in SMA. Close enough to walk to the centre of town but not in the middle of the action so it was quiet and peaceful. Comfortable bed, beautiful casita, incredible hosts. Rocky and Gwen, the hosts, are lovely people and their suggestions for restaurants and activities were spot on. And these sweet people showed up at our door on the morning of my birthday with a birthday cake from a local bakery! The view from the terrace is exceptional. All of the staff were helpful and accommodating. The property itself is beautiful - it really feels like a little bit of old Mexico (with modern upgrades).
@malloryn2019Reviewed December 2024 - We had a terrific stay at Las Terrazas in SMA! From the very start, communication with Rocky was exceptional. He remained in constant contact, answered questions and offered any and all assistance before we even arrived. Our flight came in very late, and Rocky got us in touch with an awesome driver, Rafa, who we used during our stay, multiple times! Our casita, (Grillo Dos), was well appointed, with traditional Mexican art and decor, combined with functional furniture, gas fireplaces in every room and a basic, but nicely outfitted kitchenette. I appreciated the toiletries and makeup mirror in the bathroom! Breakfast is very generous, and a checklist of items is left in the room every day for the day following. I have a lot of food allergies, and Rocky and Gwen did their utmost to assist us with options that might work. I really appreciated the gluten free bread loaf left for me, but would advise leaving some foil paper for guests to use, since cross contamination in the toaster is a big concern. I am sure I could have requested this, and would have been given it had I asked. I loved our location, and it was easy to get to throughout the day, being just a few blocks (uphill!) from Centro. While we would have loved it if you were one block down from that steep climb, (haha, especially after a full day of walking and a glass of wine at dinner), it was really nice to have that complete silence every evening, since we were far enough from the center to not have a million tourists walking about. The casita has a private terrace, (shared with Grillo Uno, which was not occupied during our stay), which was beautiful. I could definitely see ourselves sitting there, had the mornings and evenings been a little warmer! The grounds at Las Terrazas are just gorgeous, and were a serene and beautiful oasis of quiet before stepping onto the streets. Rocky came by to introduce himself the day after we arrived, and was friendly and full of helpful tips for our visit! I really appreciate his attentive care!

From the moment you enter the property you are greeted by lovely plants and flowers that provide an immediate sense of tranquility. The casita we stayed in was immaculate and very well appointed with a full kitchen, separate bedroom and living room. The decor is lovely. Breakfast is available each day which is super convenient. Our host Rocky was readily available to answer all questions and made some wonderful restaurant recommendations. The property is located within walking distance to the city center and pretty much to anything you would want. Beware that San Miguel is full of hills and the streets are cobblestone so good walking shoes are a must! I read this advice somewhere and I'm so glad I took it seriously as we walked a total of 26 miles during our visit. We had an amazing stay!
