The Monument to the Battle of Bailen is located at the Paseo de las Palmeras. It was constructed in 1987 by the architect Vicente Sanchez Andujar. It consists of two tetrahedrons that are symmetrical on a rectangular base, which has a ceramic mural showing the Surrender at Bailen. There is also a bust of General Castaños, the hero of Bailen against the French forces of Napoleon in 1808.
