Balneario Camboriu is a year round destination. It's at the beach, but there is a lot to do besides that. Great shopping, this year a new shopping mall was built, or you can go to the stores at the street at Avenida Brasil (the second Avenue from ocean).

Great dining also. You can try the Mexican Restaurant GUACAMOLE, where the Mariachis play guitar from Wednesday to Sunday. On Saturday, it is best to arrive early, before 10pm, otherway you may have to wait hours to be seated. Nice people and very funny restaurant. At Avenida Atlantica (ocean avenue) you will find lots of pubs and good fish restaurants, such as Casa da Lagosta or Schneckas (fish and steak). If you have a car, you can try nice options at Cabecudas beach (Chez Raimond) or at Estaleiro (Recanto da Sereia).

Great nightlife. You may already heard about Warung, one of the best clubs for eletronic music. Check the schedule first, because they don't open every night/weekend. Hip louge is the DESEO, at Atlantica Avenue. A lot of nice people, from 25-35.

At beaches nearby there are other options. If you like beach parties, check Praia Brava, Kiwi Bar. People stay there from 10am until 8pm, tanning, dancing enjoying the beach. Sometimes strong waves there.

You can do most things walking, cross the city will take 1 hour. At night it is best to take a taxi, be aware of traffic.

Security is very good, with cameras, especially at downtown. This year a new hotel will open, Mercure, in downtown. A good option is also Vila do Mar. The beach is very crowded in summer, but is not clean. If you want an uncrowded beach and good water, stay at Recanto das Aguas or at Plaza Itapema Resort.

During the day you can take a windsurf or surf lesson. You can take try a paraglider jump or visit zoos and other parks.

People who leave in citys near Balneario Camboriu frequently visit on the weekend, because it is an entertainment center for everyone, young or old.
