Rothbury is a locality in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales adjacent to Pokolbin and Lovedale. Rothbury (& Pokolbin) is mainly known for its wine industry with some of Australia's premium wines being produced here.

The Hunter Valley is the second major tourist area in New South Wales and is only a 2 hour drive north of Sydney.

The scenery is stunning with vineyards and olive groves, rolling hills and the backdrop of the Brokenback Mountains.

There are over 120 cellar doors (in the Hunter Valley) to visit as well as the Hunter Valley Gardens, Hunter Valley Zoo, several golf courses, day spas, cheese makers, olives and chocolate tasting and even beer tasting!.

Food is a big part of the Rothbury / Pokolbin Hunter Valley experience and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from.

There is also an Art and Artisan Trail.
