In the centre of Martina Franca lies the Ducal Palace of the original rulers of Martina. The rooms of the palace are being restored and are open to the public free of charge. The 'guide' is very knowledgeable and speaks good English. The majority of the restoration is complete with a few more rooms to be finished. The walls of each room are lavishly painted with frescos depicting life in Medieval Puglia and Biblical scenes. Well worth a visit.
