Performing arts events occur all the time in Estes Park. The best part about the events is that many of them are free. Even though the majority of performances occur during the spring and summer months (usually May through September), there are some that happene during the fall and winter months as well.

Musical performances are commonplace in Estes Park. The variety of music is large and can vary from jazz to country to classical.

The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park is the organization which plans and coordinates many of the town’s performing arts events. In 2006, the Council has several plans including a Film Festival in September, “Thursday Night Live” which is a series of free concerts and performances that start at 7 p.m. every Thursday from June through August, and an event called, “Imagine This,” which occurs in February each year and includes interactive exhibits and live music.

The Estes Park Music Festival has been ongoing for 38 years. Most of the performances take place in the Stanley Hotel Concert Hall or Music Room. Summer Concerts (in July and August) feature the Colorado Music Festival Chamber Orchestra. Tickets are available by subscription or can be purchased individually either on-line or at the door. Winter Concerts occur most Sunday afternoons between November and April and feature a variety of musical genres, from classical to Celtic, jazz, bluegrass and choral. Tickets are available on-line or at the door, and by subscription, Check their website (www.estesparkmusicfestival.org) for additional information.
