A Valentine History Center? Why see a collection of old valentines? As it turns out, this is a National Historic Landmark-the Wickham House-built by John Wickham, and purchased by Mann Valentine Jr. In 1898 it became the Valentine Museum. While you may not be interested period homes, if you are interested in the history and politics of the newly formed U.S. govt., and a guided tour with an emphasis on the politics of the time is a treat. John Wickham was a close friend of John Marshall's, and represented Aaron Burr in his trial for treason, so this is good fun!
