The Belltown District of downtown Seattle , located a few blocks north of Pike Place Market offers some of the best choices for Seattle Nightlife in one consolidated area.  Commonly experienced on foot, Belltown serves as a central point for evening activities like fine dining, dance clubs, pool halls, dive bars, and cocktail lounges.  Expect a vivacious crowd Thursday-Saturday nights, with lots of energy on the streets and in every joint you come across.  A $3-$5 cab ride gets you there from just about any hotel in the downtown area, and since this is the most happening spot on weekends, you won't have much trouble finding a ride home.

Note that the 2 a.m. bar closing time floods the streets with alcohol fueled crowds.  Street fights, gun fire, and police activity are common in the area.
