The 71 Palm has a great new menu with lower prices, new menu additions and updated favorites.  The duck leg salad and the rib eye steak are excellent. Double pork chops dijonnaise look even better than the steak. The new potatoes with creme fraiche and caviar are a tasty appetizer. The oysters are plump and fresh. Skilled French chef/owner along with family members contribute to a very personal and pleasant experience. Can be very busy so reservations are recommended. Great atmosphere in a charming craftsman cottage. Local artwork is on  display throughout the restaurant and can be purchased. Fireplace and patio seating options with plenty of parking. Good location in downtown Ventura near the historic Mission Church.
