In Moab, the Jeep rules. No other place in the United States has made the 4x4 “the” vehicle to experience the most exhilarating driving experiences. And it is no wonder! Drivers have more than 30 trails to choose from, They go from easy to handle all through different levels of difficulty to those which are a challenge even to the most skilled driver and the best equipped Jeep. And the scenery is breathtaking: canyons, rivers, desert, mountains, will suck you as you advance at high spped into the difficult terrain.
The trails are in Canyonland Park and Arches National Park, mostly south Highway 191. Their names are pretty engaging and shout mystery and adventure: Hellroaring Rim, Hoe in the Rock, Hey Joe Canyon, Cliffhanger, Poison Spider Mesa, Wipe-Out Hill, Behind the Rocks-Tip-toe and, perhaps for those not so adventurous, Chicken Corners.
For descriptions of trails and information about guides, facilities (from lodging to dining) and equipment, read the Easter Jeep Safari. You can order it on the mail (Red Rock 4-Wheelers, Inc. P.O. Box 1471 Moab, UT 84532-1471) or you can call at 435-259-7625.
