By air: There are three major airports which are commonly used by travelers interested in reaching the area of Harpers Ferry via airplane. The most commonly used of these airports is the Baltimore / Washington International Airport (
http://www.bwiairport.com/) located in Baltimore , Maryland . The other two are located in Virginia ; the Dulles International airport is in Dulles and the Reagan National airport is in Arlington .
Upon arrival: Visitors generally rent a car to travel from any of these airports to Harpers Ferry . Car rental is available from more than half a dozen car rental companies at the Baltimore airport. See
