For those of you who enjoy a nice run or walk anytime  day or night, welcome to the island with a pathway that takes you through American Memorial Park which is located adjacent to the Hyatt Regency in Garapan, through central Garapan. This is the hub of tourism activities with restaurants and shops and other interesting sights.  This pathway runs along the beach and also has sitting nodes so you can just sit, relax, and watch the sun set over the horizon.  It stretches over ten miles round trip.  Locals and visitors alike use this Pathway from 5 a.m. until late at night.

This pathway will take you to the Tuesday Night Farmers' Market located in front of the Kristo Rai Church in Garapan - every Tuesday late afternoon starting from 4pm - 7pm.  Here you can find a variety of locally grown vegetables, fruits, herbs, plants, etc - at very affordable prices.  All things you can find at any Farmers' Market anyway - local foods, drinks, and a colorful group of local folks.!!  This is the mini version of the BIG market which takes place further down the pathway towards Civic Center every Saturday morning from 7am to noon.

Every Thursday night, join the fun at the Thursday Night Street Market.  It is held on Coral Tree Street in front of the Fiesta Resort and Spa and the Hyatt Regency.  Lots of different types of food, very affordable, some entertainment, and very vibrant!  Join the island residents and have some fun - local style!

If visiting Saipan from June through August, bring a camera!  The Flame Trees are in full bloom and add lots of color to the island.  Only on Saipan do you get to experience colors like these  wherever you look.  From the Airport Road to Beach Road  to Marpi - on the hillsides - splashes of orange.   Completely transforms the look of the island.  One can't help but smile when you see these trees.
