Located in Tumon Bay across the street from the colorful Acanta mall and Stanlee's liquor store. Close to the Hyatt on the same side of the street. If you are facing the Hyatt turn left and walk about a block.
This little thai restaurant is amazing and blew all the other ones away. Big portions and great food! The spring rolls were wonderful as was the Som Tum (green papaya salad). Some of the best food on Guam!
Located in the Guam Holiday Resort on the 2nd floor (Tuman Bay).
Wonderful steak and AMAZING garlic cheese toast (order it you won't be sorry!!!). It's nice that the sides are included instead of the Ruth's Chris method of ordering everything a la cart. Bring LOTS of money - it's not cheap! (avg. cost US $50 pp) 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. daily (671)647-0077 reservations suggested
LOCATED IN THE TUMON BAY HYATT HOTEL
This is a buffet style restaurant and is open for breakfast lunch and dinner (closing briefly between each). Good food (though a bit pricey unless you are military and ask for the military discount). They also have a menu (at least for breakfast). They have a waffle station and of course an omelet station as well as fresh fruits, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and other dishes. They definitely cater to the Japanese and you will find rice at every meal as well as foods ranging from very good miso soup, to noodle soup that you pick the ingredients and they cook it for you, to sushi. Each night is a different theme ranging from Filipino, to Barbecue, and others and often beer or wine is included with the dinners (Friday night is Heineken). Breakfast buffet is $25 pp. Dinner is $47 p.p.
LOCATED IN THE TUMON BAY HYATT HOTELRegional Italian cuisine. The restaurant features an antipasti lunch buffet and for dinner a wide array of pastas, pizzas and specialty dishes. A bit pricey but a decent restaurant and very sleek and modern looking decor. Did not care for the veal cannelloni (very bland) but enjoyed the goat cheese salad and other appetizers. Hours: Lunch: Monday-Friday 11:30 am to 2:00 pm
LOCATED IN THE HILTON TUMON BAY
They have a different theme every night (like the Hyatt buffet). Thursday is French Gourmet night (includes wine), Seafood night is Friday (includes Budweiser), Island Fiesta night is Sunday (and includes Budweiser) each night buffet costs around $37. The Sunday brunch is supposedly fantastic!
LOCATED ON MARINE CORPS DRIVE, ACROSS FROM DENNY'S
Good Thai food (though skip the spring rolls/lumpia - unless you like grease). The basil beef was fantastic but the appetizers were middle of the road (the squid legs had way too much batter on them). Skip this place and go to Ban Thai if you can!!!
OPEN 24 HOURS - 562 HARMON LOOP Rd. (COMPADRES MALL) Dededo (671)637-1700
Guam's answer to the question of where to go when you get hungry at midnight (or anytime really). The food is good (not great but good) and is a lot like a Guam-style Denny's. They have a good breakfast menu (available 24 hours) as well as lunch and dinner and of course desserts. Some Guam specialties including Ham Hocks and Mongo Beans and the Spam Scrambler. Many dishes also come in "mini" versions for smaller appetites and snacks.
LOCATED ON NORTH MARINE DR. (TUMON VIEW PLAZA; ACROSS FROM NISSAN) TUMON BAY (671)646-6414
Ramen noodles served in choice of broth with a choice of meats. Sushi, tempura, and other Japanese specialties are also offered. For a large meal with variety order a bento box special. Large casual crowded restaurant (don't go for the decor!). This restaurant gets mixed reviews. The tempura shrimp was $9 and the ramen was around $7. Daily 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Mon - Sat 5:30 - 10:00 p.m.; Sun 5pm - 9pm
1000 San Vitores Rd. (Aston Holiday Plaza Hotel) Tumon
This restaurant can be hit or miss. The lunch menu is abbreviated and comes with a "buffet" that consisted of fried rice, regular white rice, salad, and jello. The good thing about this place was the price - about $7 for lunch p.p.
