Travelers almost always head to Cody during the summer months. This is because the major activity in the area is the rodeo which runs through the summer. The biggest holiday in the area is the Fourth of July which is obviously a summer celebration. Additionally, the biggest day trip attraction in the area, which is Yellowstone National Park. Travelers will find that there is plenty to do in the area - see http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g60... .
In terms of the weather, it is basically warm in the summer and cold in the winter but Cody is a place where the weather can fluctuate. Summers can sometimes get as hot as one hundred degrees but are usually not that warm, averaging in the high eighties in terms of daytime temperatures. Winters can be cold but are usually around 30-40 degrees. The area is generally sunny, with a rain usually happening less than seventy days out of the year.
