Green Bay, just like any other city, has a great deal of cab companies. All of the cab companies are pretty much the same, and unless you are taking a long cab ride to the airport or somewhere else, you will be paying the same price. To get a taxi, just wait outside the corner, or you can call ahead to a specific company and ask for a pick up at a pre-determined location. Because Green Bay has a Metro, you really don't need to use a taxi. If you continually use it, you will end up spending a lot of money unnecessarily. The taxis are more prevalent in busier parts of town, such as the downtown district and uptown. It will be harder to get a taxi during rush hour and very late at night, which is why you should call ahead if you are going to be out past the time the Metro stops running. The cabs are generally safe and clean, and the drivers known where they are going and what they are doing. If you want to rent a car, you can do so at the airport or train station, and you can visit several other agencies throughout the city. There are several companies you can choose from, all which offer different types of cars for different prices. What you end up choosing depends on your own preference, but you might find that you really don't need a rental car while you are in Green Bay unless you plan to get outside of the city for a while.
