Sun lovers: Saint George has more than 300 days of sunshine in the year. It is part of the famous Mojave desert region and sits at an elevation of 2,800 feet above sea-level. Be prepared to enjoy intense blue skies and dramatic sunsets. St. George boasts 12 excellent golf courses that are playable year-round. Summer-time temperatures can range well over 100 degrees F, but their are some lakes, reservoirs and even swimming pools that offer the opportunity to cool-off. Remember that St. George offers a very dry heat (very little humidity). Daytime temperatures in January still hover in the 50's and 60's F but night-time temperatures can be quite cool. Winter enthusiasts can head just 30 miles north to the Pine Valley Mountains where you can enjoy winter sports.
