Playa del Ingles is a resort town in the Canary Islands, the series of islands located off the coast of Morocco. Situated on the southern end of the island of Gran Canaria, Playa del Ingles is just west of the larger resort area of Maspalomas and east of San Agustin. The town functions as a getaway for Europeans on vacation, and is packed with people during the tourist season. Playa del Ingles tends to attract a younger crowd of people from all over Europe, especially German and English nationals.

Arrival & Departure

    Playa del Ingles is reachable from Gran Canaria's airport, known as "Gando." There are a number of means of transportation to reach Playa del Ingles from the airport. You can take a taxi, which will cost you about 30€ and takes fifteen minutes. There are buses that run from the airport to Playa del Ingles, which take about half an hour and cost 1.75€. If you have booked your vacation through a travel company, most likely you will already have a shuttle lined up for you that runs from the airport to your hotel. Look for these along the arrivals hall in eight different bays A1–A8. Otherwise, you can rent a car through the many rental agencies at the airport.
