Newcomers and visitors have many opportunities to join annual community celebrations. The Saint Patrick's Day Parade and Blue Crab Festival feature street vendors, community organizations, arts & crafts, and food. These events are the largest festivals in North Myrtle Beach. There are several other events throughout the year.

Entertainment in North Myrtle Beach is of a high caliber and rivals that of performing arts houses in Nashville. The Alabama Theatre was coordinated by the country music group, Alabama. Staged musical revues and adaptations of the most popular rock, pop, and country songs astound thousands of audience members nightly. Legends in Concert is an equally show-stopping venue. See Las Vegas-caliber renditions of Liza, Prince, Marilyn, Elvis, or Elton.

Additionally, Broadway at the Beach along the Grand Strand is the largest entertainment complex in Myrtle Beach. It has consistently ranked number one in popular travel publications. 15 main attractions, 20 restaurants, and 100 shops can entertain even the largest group or family. The Imax Discovery Theater and Le Grand Cirque are highly praised, futuristic productions within the Broadway Complex.

The casts, themes, and plots of most shows rotate within a given season. Christmas and the Fourth of July are spectacular holiday events. Book tickets in advance during crowded seasons.
