You can enter the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area at Hells Canyon Dam, 23 miles North of Oxbow, Oregon. Once you arrive at the dam the road ends and the fun begins. The only way you can see the deepest portions of the canyon is by boat, raft, or foot. There are a variety of things you can do in Hells Canyon.
