Broken Bow lake is really a wonderful destination. It has never been truly crowded in the years that we have been traveling there. There is a marina, a train ride, horseback riding ( and Funnel Cake at the ticket booth for the trains) The little forestry museum is small, but the kids want to go through it every time we go. They often have someone doing an exhibition when we go - last time a woodworker was making wooden bowls out of cedar. The marina has houseboats, wave runners, and other craft for rent and the kids working there are always ver nice and helpful. We do not stay in the park itself - we always stay at Pine Meadow Cabins www.pinemeadowcabins.com. In the years that we have been staying with them we have never been dissapointed. They have great little honeymoon cottages and big cabins for multiple families as well. Beavers Bend and Broken Bow lake is quite often our choice for a quite yet fun weekend getaway.
