The National Rose Garden is at Woolmers historic homestead near Longford, south-west of Launceston.  This outstanding garden displays all of the recognized rose families and represents one of the finest collections of historic roses in the southern hemisphere.  Varieties displayed range from the earliest European and China roses through to the roses of the twenty first century.

Also at Woolmers is a new kitchen garden where traditional kitchen herbs and vegetables, suitable for a cool temperate climate, are grown.
