Scenic Points of Interest

Five State Lookout - View of the Hudson River Valley and five states off of Route 23 in East Windham .

Pratt Rock - Scenic climb to see relief carvings in the mountainside dated from the 1800's, commissioned so an itinerant stonecutter could pay for his lodgings. Route 23 in Prattsville.

Kaaterskill Falls - The highest waterfall in NY State. Scenic marked hiking trails with wonderful views of the Hudson Valley . Route 23A, Haines Falls .

Devil's Tombstone - A natural rock formation that resembles a large tombstone with wonderful hiking trails. Just off Route 23A & Route 214.



 CD  Lane Park - Hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, at Windham 's own scenic lakeside setting... pavilion, picnic tables, BBQ's, lifeguard, children's playground. Canoe, rowboats and kayaks only. 12 miles of biking trails. Terrain Park and boarder cross track. Pavilion available for parties and special gatherings. North-South Lake - Hundreds of acres of pristine state land awaits you. A campground and recreational area in the summer, snowshoeing wonderland in the winter. Hundreds of trails to delight the hearty winter sportsperson with no fees in the winter. Off Route

Colgate Lake - Offering a natural setting, there is no pavilion, picnic tables, lifeguards, etc. Camping areas, fishing, swimming. From Route 296, left onto Route 23C. Stay on 23C to the small town of East Jewett, there is a general store on your right; make a left onto Route 78, Colgate Road , which will take you to the lake on the right.
