Zanzibar is a great place for a relaxing beach holiday. It has attractive white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters for diving and fishing, sunset cruises or local dhows. You can also visit the spice farms and tour the wold heritage site Stone Town; if you'd like to go swimming with dolphins Safari Blue offers that and other marine activities.

The Mnemba Atoll is excellent for snorkeling - a  full day snorkeling trip on a shared boat costs $25 per person with lunch, including :park fees and snorkeling gear.

You can find nice accomodations on the north coast. The Sunset Bungalows in Kendwa are right on the beach, which is wide and perfect for walking or sunbathing.

The Kendwa Rocks restaurant on the beach,  neighbouring the Sunset Bungalows, is very nice with good food and activity crews. They are  famous for monthly full moon parties on the beach.

Zanzibar Private Tours and Mohamed Makame can provide airport transfers, safaris and tours.

Zanzibar is safe, but watch out for young men at the beach - many of them are drug users. Do not walk around with valuables - leave them in the hotel safe. Confirm your arrangements in advance of your arrival as much as possible; some locals like making money more than offering good services. Be flexible and willing to negotiate, and be friendly to the locals.
