For an evening out, try Ruidoso’s dinner theater, Mountain Annie’s, at 2710 Sudderth Drive. This place does some wonderful live entertainment and also offers great facilities for conventions, banquets and parties of up to 300 people, but reservations must be made early, as spaces tend to sell out quickly. Another place of cultural entertainment is the Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts, which seats over 500 people and is located in the nearby town of Alto on Highway 220. This theater has played host to some touring Broadway shows as well as many local events.

If this kind of entertainment sounds too tame, go to the Quarters Night Club & Grill on 2535 Sudderth Drive, which has excellent barbeque food (especially steak and burgers) as well as a DJ every night of the week. There are sometimes live blues bands performing as well. Country-western music can be found at the Win Place & Show, a bar that remains open until 2am most nights of the week. Coyote Cantina, which claims to have “the only true nightlife in town,” is located at 2408 Sudderth Drive. For a more rugged, Old West type of atmosphere, try the Texas Club Grill & Bar, a steak house with a full bar on 212 Metz Drive that serves hearty Western fare.
