While interstellar travel is probably years away for most mere humans, travel to Roswell is actually simple enough. The city is served by the Roswell International Airport, which offers flights from various South Western destinations including Phoenix, Santa Fe and Dallas. The small single terminal airport is light on amenities, which could be one reason why the aliens haven’t come back. But from the airport it is possible to get a rental car, shuttle bus to nearby hotels, and even a taxicab (complete with a human driver).
The city isn’t exactly off the beaten path, and it is about 100 miles southeast of Albuquerque, and 100 miles southwest of Lubbock, Texas, and by car you can reach Roswell at the cross roads of US 380, US 285 and US 70, and state route 246. These various US highways, and state highways link to major interstates including I-27, I-25 and I-20. The roads in New Mexico are generally well maintained, and various bus services are also available to Roswell.
