Salmon Ruins is a unique attraction featuring: 11th century ruins, a 19th century homestead, artifacts, a museum, research library and gift shop. Take a few hours to visit this hidden gem! The Salmon pueblo is the largest outlier of Chaco Canyon and featured two major sections structure was three stories tall with possibly 350 rooms and featured a tower kiva, great kiva. The site is unique as it has been preserved to mainian the integrity of the two occupations of the pueblo and the early homestead of Geaorge Salmon. The facility also houses the San Juan County Archeological Research Center and Library, where archeologists continue preservation and research today.
