Shopping:  The Freehold Raceway Mall is a very large, indoor mall with Macy's, J C Penney, Nordstrom, Sears, and Lord & Taylor anchor stores.  There are close to 200 other smaller stores that sell a wide variety of merchandise.  The mall has a large food court, a Ruby Tuesday's restaurant, a Johnny Rocket's restaurant, and a Friendlys Restaurant.   At the moment (May 2007) the mall is under a large renovation and expansion project.  Stores are moving around and construction makes parking a bit of a challenge.  The mall really is changing for the better though.

Just outside of the mall is a huge D!ck's Sporting Goods store, Bob's Department store, a 14 theatre AMC Metroplex, Linen's N Things, Raymour Flannigan furniture, The Christmas Tree Shoppe, Home Depot, Office Depot, and Toys R U$.

For a more quaint shopping experience one can head to downtown Freehold and browse the shops on Main Street.  There a several boutiques, antique shops, and fabulous restaurants.

A large Wal-Mart/Sam's Club opened up last year on Route 537.  Also along Route 537 are more great local restaurants, shops and grocery stores.

Finally, Route 9 North and South provide  many more restaurants and large chain stores.
