  • Abbott Store is a part of the Strawberry Banke Museum (see below) which is notable on its own as a historic museum highlighting the old stores that used to exist in the area.
  • Historic homes throughout Portsmouth are frequently enjoyed by travelers.  Some offer tours and others are renowned purely for their architectural style. 
  • Strawberry Banke Museum is not just a museum; it is a large outdoor historic village, also known as a living museum.  Visitors can enjoy costumed performances reenacting historic life in the Portsmouth area.
  • USS Albacore Museum is a maritime museum featuring activities for all ages.
  • New Castle NH is only two miles away.  You might want to spend a couple hours at Fort Constitution.  The old Fort is now a state park and is open during the daytime to visitors for free.
  • Seacoast Rep Theather can be found in the historic Portsmouth Brewing Company warehouse on Bow Street.  
  • New Hampshire Theatre Project is another theater company, located on Islington St. in Portsmouth's "West End".
