Be sure to check out Ousel Falls. There's a new and vastly improved trail to the falls, which is suitable for all ages. The hike should take about a half an hour. To get to the trail head, Take the Big Sky Spur Road from
US 191 toward Big Sky Resort. About 3 miles up the road, turn left on Ousel Falls Road (at the Big Sky Town Center sign). The trail head parking lot is about 2 miles down Ousel Falls Road. There are 2 new trails opened August 2014, called Hummocks 3 mi and Uplands Trail 2 mile. The trailhead is off Aspen Leaf Dr., behind the Town Center.
In the summer time, you can take a tram to summit of Lone Peak.
In the Meadow Village, there is a pond just past the golf course where fishing is allowed for kids 16 & under only.
Allgood's Bar & Grill has a popular happy hour with 2 for 1 drinks. Buck's T-4 has a "Five 5's at 5:00" deal with a $5 menu each week day from 5:00 to 6:00. By Word of Mouth has a great fish fry every Friday Night. The Bunker at the Big Sky Golf Course has an outdoor barbecue every Thursday night.
Lava Lake, Beehive Basin and Porcupine Creek are all very popular local hikes.
