In Michigan you’ll hear the locals say, “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” While not entirely accurate, Michigan does truly experience all four seasons with mild springs, hot and humid summer, pleasant falls and bitter cold winter. But depending on what you’re seeking each season has plenty to offer for those looking to take advantage of various outdoor activities.
The most colorful time is no doubt the fall as the leaves turn, and this is also when Michigan State’s Spartan football team takes to the field. In the warm spring day’s visitors can stroll through the Frances Park to see more than 100 varieties of roses, which are contained in the garden, or take a hike on the woodland trails to view the Grand River from two overlooks.
