The "Chop" as it's know to locals, is one of the most upscale restaurants in the Greater Worcester area, but the atmosphere is not at all "snooty." It's comfortable, and the booths and tables have enough "bubble space" around them so you don't feel like you have having dinner with the couple at the next table (unless, of course, you want  to).

Dress varies from casual to club, so no matter where you've been before or where you're going after, you can come to the "Chop" as you are and feel pretty comfortable. Business casual and dressier does tend to be the norm, though.

Both the large bar and the kitchen are open to the dining room, so it can get rather noisy as the place fills up, but they have an enclosed, more quiet space that they use for overflow at peak times and for larger, private parties up to 40 people.

Reservations are most often recommended and valet parking is available (which is helpful because the parking around the restaurant is tight, and the nearby streets and businesses often have restrictions, so pay attention to the signs near your parking spot!).
