Beverly is a relatively small and residential town which for many years had lackluster dining options.  Recently, however, some excellent choices have sprung up along Cabot Street:

  • Mandrake - an interesting bistro menu and extensive martini menu.  Try the Mandrake Mac - unlike any mac 'n cheese you've ever had, it's filled with lobster, shrimp and scallops and made with guoda.  Yum.  The pomegranate martini is also very good.
  • Soma - another newer and quality spot, a bit on the trendy side.
  • Kitty O'Sheas is small but good, with pub food.

Also worth considering:

  • The Goat Hill Grille has quite good food.
  • The Beverly Depot - right at the train station - offers solid if fairly routine dining choices.
  • Chianti: for delicious italian food.

If you are in Beverly Farms, a section of Beverly located directly on the ocean, there are two great options:

Cygnet: Upscale, fine dining in an old fashioned English Pub atmosphere.

G2: A branch of the popular steakhouse Gavins (located in Middleton MA)
