Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu


Located at Historic Central School Arts and Humanities Center,  809 Kirby St  Lake Charles LA,  the Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu offers a true taste of Mardi Gras in Louisiana.  The Museum features the largest collection of Mardi Gras Costumes on the Gulf Coast.  Situated in several converted classrooms in a former school, the museum features rooms devoted to the major events of the Mardi Gras Season, including Preperation/Costume Construction, 12th Night, Ball Night, and Parade Day. Also featured is Mardi Gras 101, all you need to know about  Mardi Gras, A Captian's Den, a tribute to area Krewe Captians, and a Walk of Fame, highlighting the history of  all area krewes.  The Mardi Gras Museum give every vistor a bit of the glitz , glamor and revelry of the Mardi Gras Season.


Open Tues- Saturday 1pm-5pm. Reservations accepted for tours  $3 Admission is Charged for Adults, special rates for children and seniors. Guided tours available on request. For Info Call 337-475-7393
