The Peregrine Fund's World Center for Birds of Prey:

Experience birds of prey eye-to-eye and explore the mysteries of their flight, survival, and relationship with humans. Live bird demonstrations and falconry heritage tours complement hands-on exhibits for all ages. Enjoy panoramic views of the Treasure Valley from the interpretive trail and gazebo, or browse the gift shop. Admissions and purchases support conservation programs worldwide.

The Center has been in Boise for over twenty years and is the headquarters for The Peregrine Fund, a worldwide raptor conservation organization.  This is one of only 4 places worldwide where live California Condors can be seen on display for the public.  The Interpretive Center is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Tuesday throuh Sunday year-round.  During the months of June through August the center is open 7 days a week. There are several non-releasable, educational Birds of Prey which can be viewed and a different bird is brought out 4 times a day for the public to view up close.  In addition, the Archives of Falconry just across the parking lot offers an educational experience regarding falconry that cannot be experienced elsewhere.  Tables are available on the grounds, and in warmer weather are a great place to enjoy lunch while watching the local wildlife.
