Looking for a good treasure hunt? Do you love antiques and vintage, junk sales, antique malls, flea markets, etc.? In Punta Gorda, there are a few places . The Galleria Mall on Duncan Rd. U.S. 17 is a good place to start. It has booths of furniture, jewlery, books, etc. It was voted best antiques by local newspaper as members' choice. (Friendly staff and clean facility)
There is also Funky Junkies which is a store on McKenzie street. This is a store of slightly used furniture and decor; similar in content is Consigning Woman which is located on Elliott Street just off US17 North. C. Woman also has various new outdoor pottery.
Punta Gorda has downtown flea markets on the weekend. Lots of good stuff, fresh produce, too.
If you like to really dig try the Salvation Army on US 41 and Habitat for Humanity on Boca Grande Street. Both of these have daily turnovers, and you never know what you might find. Goodwill has a store also on S 41 few miles out of town but worth the trip. (Wednesday--senior citizen discount!!)
