The theater, ballet, symphony, orchestra and other fine performing arts often reflect the unique culture of an area and help visitors to understand and appreciate the life there.  Visitors are encouraged to have this experience in Pensacola through attending various events throughout the year by the following groups:

  • Pensacola Opera Company, – Performing opera in the area for more than twenty years, the professional opera group is a cornerstone of the performing arts in Pensacola.
  • Ballet Pensacola, – This performing ballet offers four performances throughout the season, beginning in August and ending in May.  Visitors can see favorites such as Sleeping Beauty and the Nutcracker as well as original performances.
  • Pensacola Little Theatre,, is a non-profit community theatre that offers more than a dozen stage productions each year. Cast and crew members are all volunteers. Classes and summer camps are offered for children.
  • Pensacola Symphony Orchestra,
  • Loblolly Theatre,  - Founded in 2000, this company presents original works in an intimate space located in the historic venue of the former Sacred Heart Hospital.
  • Pensacola Museum of Art,, offers high-quality exhibits featuring the works of well-known artists and photographers. Education programs for children are available throughout the year.
