Delray Beach Garlic Festival ( Mid-February)– This festival has been happening annually for almost a decade. The festival includes cooking contests, cookbooks for sale, and more than 100 vendors which sell items related to garlic. This is a great event to attend for adults and kids. There is a special kid’s area that has entertainment and garlic-related activities.
Palm Beach Boat Show ( March) – This is one of the largest annual boat shows in Florida and 7th largest in the country with a typical attendance of 50,000 people and a history of more than twenty years. People travel from all over the country (and world) to attend this show, and it’s rated as one of the most spectacular boat shows in the United States. In addition to more than 1,000 boats on display, there are also fishing lessons and other sorts of entertainment for those in attendance.
SunFest ( Early May)– SunFest is an event that is almost 25 years old. It’s an annual event that is considered to be Florida’s largest and most well known music, art, and waterfront festivals. About a third of a million people attend this event each year because it provides all sorts of entertainment for the whole family. This is also popular among boaters, who can enjoy the music and fireworks from the Intracoastal Waterway. TIP: All the boats try to leave at the same time so conventional wisdom suggests that boaters wait 15-30 minutes for the crowds to clear and to avoid "impaired" captains.
Pins & Needles Art Show ( July ) Pins and Needles is a monthly art event that explores the commongrounds of tattoo, indie crafts, and underground music cultures as expressions of fine art. Art of the tattoo artists will be on display, all artists present to interact with, craft makers showing & selling, bands on stage, and drinks flowing until 2am.
