Orlando Ballet is fast becoming the little company that could.  With only 26 company dancers and 5 paid apprentices this marvelous company has an international flavor (with dancers from the United States, Japan, Korea, Brazil and Cuba), and the ambition to tackle Balanchine and Twyla Tharp.  The company performs classics like Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and of course the Nutcracker, and mixes it up with contemporary works by artistic director Bruce Marks, Twyla Tharp and others.  If you happen to be in town when the ballet is performing, it is worth the price of the ticket to watch this company in action.  The ballet season runs from October to May.  For the current season schedule check out their web site www.orlandoballet.org.
