There are tons of shopping opportunities all throughout Brandon. Virtually every big chain retail store is represented. In the center of them all is the
Westfield Shopping Mall. This is also the center of the city of Brandon. The Selmon Crosstown Expressway (toll road) starts here, extending all the way through Tampa to the the Gandy Bridge leading to St. Petersburg. (Parts of this toll road are still under construction and currently only the eastbound Selmon traffic coming to the mall is open going straight into the mall. Take the "Local Lanes" exit.) State Road 60 runs on the north side of the mall. State Road 60 runs through downtown Tampa becoming Kennedy on its way into Clearwater. Shopping radiates from Westfield in all directions. North of the mall you'll find Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Beall's Outlet, Beall's Home Outlet, TJ Max, Ross, Target and a variety of lesser known but equal quality stores. To the south is Border's, Sports Authority, JoAnn's, Super Walmart and a variety of boutique stores. Intermixed with all the shopping are restaraunts in every shape and flavor. From Mimi's Cafe to Buca's Italian Immigrant Restaraunt, there is something for everyone.
There is not an overwhelming number of entertainment venues in Brandon compared to the shopping and restaraunts but there are some.
Ace Golf can be a fun afternoon or evening swinging at golf balls on the driving range, playing miniature golf or batting softballs and baseballs. Just north of the mall in the Regency Square plaza there is an
AMC 20 movie theatre.
