This may seem like an obscure sightseeing attraction, but the more than 400,000 who have visited it found it very interesting. It's a recycling center owned and operated by the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority. The CRRA Trash Museum features 6,500 square feet of educational exhibits about the history and methods of garbage disposal, energy conservation and recycling. It's located near the Hartford-Brainard Airport at 211 Murphy Rd in Hartford, CT. There is plenty of free parking and admission is just $4, free for children under age 2.
