Durango is located in southwest Colorado , near the Four Corners , where the Centennial State abuts Utah , Arizona , and New Mexico . Drivers can take U.S. Highway 550 (nicknamed the Million Dollar Highway ) from the north and south, or U.S. Highway 160 (also known as the Old Spanish Trail) from the east and west.

If you’re flying in, plan to arrive at the Durango/La Plata County Airport, which is about 15 miles southeast of Durango.
