If you are new in town and are in the mood for traditional Mexican food, try Casa Escobar.  It's good for a cool hangout to have dinner and drinks. Family owned and operated since 1965, Casa Escobar is a sight to behold.  Inside it's dark but the votive candles on every table bounce a warm glow off of the red pleather booths.  The piñata room is a delightful place to share a flan with some of your closest friends.  Sit at the bar and order a margarita like all of the regulars.  The piano bar is the best seat in the house on a weekend night to catch some good music and a great time.
