This little gem has a sign that say's it's almost historical. Why? The original saloon that stood there back in the early 1900's had to be rebuilt. The saloon that is there now that's known as River City Saloon was created after hours of research into what the original saloon looked like. It has a player piano when you walk in the door as well as Doc Holliday sitting at the bar drinking a bottle of booze. Take a picture with him then sit down and enjoy a frosty mug of 25 cent Sarsaparilla.
This place features some of the best sandwiches in Old Sacramento, nothing hot on there menu, but they serve the sandwiches all the way till close. They have free peanuts that you throw the shells on the floor.
They have a video system that plays video's from country to today's top 40, and if the barkeep is not busy they will play a request for you. No jukebox here.
Later at night, they call out drink specials, sing or tell jokes. Saturday Night is Karaoke night.
