National Recreation Trail  

The Rail Trail is also known as the “Road of a thousand Wonders. Is a historic trail dating back to 1872. Today it has become a non-motorized 18 mile paved trail and accessible through the Keswick Dam, Middle Creek, Buenaventura and two Sacramento River trail heads. As travelers begin their journey from the Shasta Dam to the Sundial Bridge, a 500 feet long tunnel that has was used and reconstructed will capture the attention of all ages. Where you walk, pedal or paddle, watch carefully for exotic plants and wildlife along with spectacular views. So grab the family, pack a picnic, and head out for an adventure.
