Palm Springs is Perfect for an easy, family friendly ride.  There are also plenty of Longer Tours along Area Highways and Scenic Routes that are Perfect for the Avid Cyclist.  A Palm Springs Biking Trip is highly recommended.

The City has an Extensive System of Bike Paths, which can take you almost anywhere you wish to go.  The Downtown Shopping Areas, Famous Celebrity Homes or the Desert Recreational and Residential areas can all be explored along the Palm Springs bike paths.  Most of the Paths are well marked and easy to follow.  Some are easy enough so the entire Family can enjoy a sightseeing tour of Palm Springs ; if you want a more challenging long-distance ride, you can do that as well.

There are also some Great Mountain Bilking Off-Road Trails to explore as well. They are a little bit more difficult, but if that is what you are looking for, Biking in Joshua Tree National Park and Anza-Borrengo State Park are the Places to Go.
